Welcome to the website of our second Knielingen Juggling and Acrobatics Night, the only one of this kind in Karlsruhe-Knielingen. You’ll find here all important informations:

Saturday 17th 13:30 to Sunday 18th November 2018 13:30 in the Reinhold-Crocoll-Halle, in Karlsruhe-Knielingen

At the juggling and acrobatics night, people from acrobatics, aerial acrobatics and juggler meet up to train the whole night together in the gym, share tricks, get to know new people and to get inspired by it.

The meet-up will take place in the Reinhold-Crocoll-Halle because it is a) big enough for all the people coming (around 150-200 people), b) high enough for all kinds of tricks where jugglers throw stuff till under the roof or acrobats are standing on each others shoulders, c) imporntant to show the locals what juggling and acrobatics is, so that they also get the joy out of it. You can sleep some other time, the gym will be open the night through for training und having fun, till breakfast is served and beyond.

At the meet-up there will be many workshops for all kind of skill levels. From the “Three ball beginner juggling” to the “Five club juggling”, there is something for every level. The workshops are from participants for participants: everyone simply tries to teach others the stuff they are good in, following the motto: from jugglers for jugglers, which is important in the juggling and acrobatics community. Without this motto, there would be no such meet-up like the Knielingen Juggling and Acrobatic night, because this event is organised by volunteers from the Pyramidalen Kleinkunst Verein. e.V. which provides a platform where people can come together and enjoy their hobby together.

15:00 - 16:00Juggling for Beginners
Level: Beginner
Who juglges, plays with the gravity und improves their coordination and skilfulness. Everyone who is able to bend down, is also able to learn juggling with three balls!
We give you some proven exercises and hints to learn juggling. We start with one ball. But you have to practice on your own. Training material is present.

16:30 - 17:30Aerial Hoop for Beginner for children (7 - 16 years)
Level: Beginner
The Aerial Hoop, called Lyra oder Cerceau/Cerceaux as well, is built of a ring with metal, like a hula hoop, that is connected with one or two suspension points to the ceiling. So it is possible to do different exercises in the air. You learn different routines beneath and inside the hoop. Prior knowledge is not required.
Please wear comfortable and tight sportswear. Your trouser or leggins should cover your knee.

16:30 - 17:30Hula Hoop for Beginner
Level: Beginner
The Hula Hoop is a ring you can circle around your hip, neck and arms. Playing Hula Hoop is fun, improves your coordination and anhance your core muscles. I explain you the basic movements to circle the hula hoop around your hip and arms and explain some routines based on the prior knowlegde of the participants.
Hula Hoop is not only suitable for women and girls, but also men and boys are invited to join the workshop.
Training material: If available, please bring your own Hula Hoop. Some Hula Hoops are present.

Level: Beginner
2 Juggler – 4 clubs: Nice pattern, it is possible to learn it without advanced passing skills, too.

18:00 - 18:45Juggling Fitness I – For Not-(yet)-Jugglers
Level: Beginner
Workout can be fun! We exercise with balls and clubs instead of barbells and train our coordination and balance, as well as our strength and endurance. In this 45-minute programm you learn simple exercises that appeal to your body and mind. Juggling is not required, but we use tosses and coordination exercises

18:00 - 19:00Poi für Beginner
Level: Beginner
Learning how to play poi is fun! It boosts your concentration, coordination and motoric skills.
It is suitable for children aged above 8 up to seniors.

19:30 - 20:30Aerial acrobatics (aerial tissue) for Beginner (Minimum age: 7 years)
Level: Beginner
For Beginner, who want to get to know new experience in the air. You get to know basics about climbing techniques, knots and first routines. Please wear long leggins or tight trousers and a tight top with sleeves.

19:30 - 20:30Contact staff for beginner I: Basic movement
Level: Beginner
„Contact“ means manipulation of objects along the body without having contact with your hands, like tricks with a soccer ball.
We start with the basic movement of a moving staff, then we get more in contact with some parts of our body. Programme: Spinning, Conveyor Belt, Half Steve

21:00 - 22:30 Contact staff for beginner II: Fishtails
Level: Beginner+
Fishtails are simple to show, but not easy to master. The fishtail is an important basic movement to combine different contact tricks. In this workshop you learn the basic movement, as well as first variations.

Su 11:00 - 12:30Juggling Fitness II – For Jugglers
Level: Beginner / Intermediate
We combine juggling and workout, to work up a sweat, but to bring a smile to your faces as well. The juggling almost distracts you that it is strenuous. For this workshop you have to be able to juggle three objects in a cascade. Bring your clubs and balls to this workshop, everything is used during this 90-minute-workshop. From head to toe we want to claim all your muscles. Variations get introduced depending on the physical fitness and level of juggling of the participants.

PRICES


The tickets include everything from the program: the entrance to the gym, which is open the whole night through, breakfast buffet and all the workshops.

Adult (over 16 years old)

Teenager (between 7 and 15 years old)

Kids (between 0 and 5 years old)

Note for minors:

  • All teenagers under 18 must provide a filled out “Muttizettel”. All teenagers under 16 need next to the form also an adult supervisor. You can find more information about that here: Muttizettel.
  • Under 16 year:
    • without a supervising adult (a parent or a person leagaly allowed to supervise the teenage) -> no entry for the teenager.
    • with a supervising adult (a parent or a person leagaly allowed to supervise the teenage) -> full access to the gym.
  • Between 16 and 18 years:
    • without a supervising adult (a parent or a person leagaly allowed to supervise the teenage) ->access to the gym till midnight (24:00).
    • with a supervising adult (a parent or a person leagaly allowed to supervise the teenage) -> full access to the gym.

PRE-REGISTRATION


It is the second edition of the juggling and acrobatics night in Knielingen. Everything is still new and exiting, but still complex to organize. We can’t let you leave this event after a whole night of training, having fun and getting exited, without a proper breakfast.
The Problem? On Sunday morning all shops are closed, so in order to really be able to provide you with a proper breakfast buffet, we need to buy the food in advance. In order to be able to plan a little bit, we would be really happy if you would pre-register yourself, so we can calculate a little bit, how many people will come. So we can only guarantee the preregister participants to get a great breakfast 😉

By telling us what you want to do in the gym, we can also better prepare the gym for you!

The Pre-Reg is closed now! You can still come spontaneously! Just come 😉

by car:

There is just a small parking lot in front of the gym, as soon as that one is full, you have to find one of the rare spaces on the side of the road.

by train:

Arrived at the main station in Karlsruhe, exit the building to the north (in direction of the city). there you can find the tram and S-Bahn.

The following trams/S-Bahnen will bring you to the the nearest station to the gym, which is the „Eggensteiner Straße„:

  • Tram 3 in direction “Heide” til “Europaplatz (Kaiserstraße)“, then change to:
  • S-Bahn S5 in direction “Wörth Badepark” / “Rheinbergstraße” til “Eggensteiner Straße”

Or to get to the next closest station with the name „Lassallestraße„, take the:

  • Tram 2 in direction “Siemensallee” till the last station “Lassallestraße


Hint: When leaving the main station and having the main station in your back, then the trams and S-Bahn, which you should take, will go to the left!
